Over three creative and relaxing sessions, you’ll learn fundamental hand-building techniques to create one elegant carafe, a large serving plate, and up to six cutlery rests. What You’ll Experience

• Hand-Building Techniques: Learn the basics of pinching, coiling, and slab-building to shape unique forms.
• Personalized Decoration: Discover decorative techniques such as carving and slip painting to add a special touch to your pieces.
• Finishing and Refinement: Perfect your shapes and prepare your creations for their final firing.

By the end of the course, you’ll have crafted a carafe, a serving plate, and at least six cutlery rests using strong stoneware clay—durable, food-safe, and dishwasher-friendly. These beautiful pieces will not only be functional but will also impress your guests and elevate your dining experience.

Course Structure

3 Lessons (6 Hours Total)

1. Start shaping the carafe and creating the cutlery rests.
2. Continue working on the carafe and create the serving plate.
3. Finish the carafe and decorate it with carving and relief techniques.
   Decorate the plate and cutlery rests with slip painting and prepare all pieces for firing.

After the course, your creations will be left at the studio for firing and glazing, ensuring they are durable and ready for everyday use. You may also attend an optional extra glazing lesson (for a small additional fee) to complete your pieces yourself.
