HOW IT IS MADE: I design and make each piece in my studio in Modena, Italy, from durable grey stoneware. After the first firing at 1000 °C, I apply my special white glaze, which enhances the carved pattern, and then fire it again at a higher temperature of 1250 °C for lasting strength and a soft, glossy finish.
