Chi sono
Karolina Bednorz è una designer e ceramista polacca premiata che lavora a Modena, Italia.
Nelle sue opere collega conoscenze di materiali ceramici, tradizioni artigianate e spirito moderno per trovare soluzioni contemporanee in materiale ceramico.
Karolina è laureata presso l'Accademia di arte e design di Breslavia, in Polonia, nella specialità "Arte e design in ceramica" (2010/15). Ha studiato nell'ambito di un programma di borse di studio presso l'Istituto Superiore per le Industrie Artistiche, Faenza, Italia (2012/13).
Karolina Bednorz ha preso parte a numerosi stage e progetti come Art Food (2014) con Ćmielów Design Studio e International Symposium of Ceramic Trends presso Porcelain Factory Sargadelos, Spagna (2013). Ha collaborato con la più antica fabbrica di porcellana europea Staatliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Meissen GmbH, Germania (2017) e lavora come designer in residenza con la fabbrica di porcellana portoghese Vista Alegre (2019).
Ha vinto il premio all'International Tile Award “Cevisama Lab Ceramic Design” a Valencia, Spagna (2013). Nel 2017 ha vinto un concorso per giovani designer, ricercatori, produttori e artisti "Future Lights in Ceramics", organizzato nell'ambito del programma europeo "Ceramics and its Dimensions".
I suoi lavori sono stati esposti in mostre, come “London Design Week” (2014, 2015), “Ambiente Show” (2017, Francoforte sul Meno, Germania) e in mostra itinerante “Shaping the Future” (2017-18) che è stata presentata in Germania, Slovenia, Repubblica Ceca, Irlanda del Nord, Regno Unito e Finlandia.
